Founder and owner of Beauty Antix, Amber Forrest - is of Ngāti Porou and Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa descent. Born and bred in Wairoa, Amber has raised her own children here and has been committed to the community through decades of service.

Amber has been a beauty therapist for over 26 years, originally establishing a salon in a Wairoa Pharmacy then branching out into her own premises over 10 years ago. Beauty Antix has now grown to employ 6 staff members, (all Māori) with a diverse and very inclusive clientele database, which covers four generations of whānau.

The philosophy of Beauty Antix is to treat every client equally and offer beauty and wellness services for all; believing clients should receive just as good a service in Wairoa as they would anywhere in the world and our business awards are testimony to this.

Amber fosters a passion for training, and she has already tutored many young Wairoa girls, some whom have stayed on as employees while others have started their own business or moved into employment elsewhere. She is a firm believer in passing her skills on in order to create sustainability and viability within her industry and for Wairoa.

Our knowledgeable team are serious about being innovative and leading edge in all that we do and remain motivated by growth and education. Our staff are respectful of all cultures and to all clients always, ensuring a safe environment and bespoke experience every visit and thoroughly enjoy the challenges of offering an extensive treatment/services menu to so many walks of life.
